Where the centre is
Aasra is on Korewala Road at Daroli Bhai, in Moga district. It is a residential centre, not a clinic that shuts in the evening. There is no appointment system. You can come and look at the place before you decide anything, and you can come with the patient or without him. Families come from all over the district
Moga city, Baghapurana, Nihal Singh Wala, Dharamkot, Kot Ise Khan, Badhni Kalan and the villages around them. Being in the same district helps more than people expect. Admission, paperwork and anything else the family has to come in for gets done without a day of travelling at both ends.

What we admit for, most often
In this district these four come up again and again.
- Chitta and heroin. The largest number by far, and the largest number of relapses as well.
- Doda and post. Older men more often than young ones, and families frequently do not count it as a drug at all until the body starts giving way.
- Medical store tablets. Started for pain or for sleep, carried on long after the reason went away.
- Alcohol. Stopping it suddenly at home is the one that can cause fits and can kill, and it is the one families try to handle themselves first.
