What this website does and does not collect.
Families ring us about something they do not want the village to know. That is the whole reason this page exists.
The short version
This website has no contact form, no login and no newsletter. There is nothing here for you to fill in, so there is nothing for us to store. We do count visits, in the plain way set out below, but none of it tells us who you are. If you want to reach us you telephone us, and that call is treated as confidential.
What the website itself loads
- Fonts. The typefaces come from Google Fonts. Google therefore sees the internet address of the device that opens the page. We cannot see it.
- Video testimonials. The videos are hosted on YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you tap a video. Until that moment YouTube receives nothing from your visit. Once you tap play, YouTube and Google apply their own terms.
- Photographs. All photographs are served from this website itself.
What we measure
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to see how this website is being used. They tell us which pages people open, roughly which town they are browsing from, and whether they tapped the call button. That is how we learn which pages are of real use to a family and which ones are only taking up space.
Neither of them tells us who you are. We never see your name, your number or your email through them. Clarity records how a page was scrolled and where it was tapped, and it blanks out the words while doing so, so what you read is not stored anywhere.
Both tools leave a cookie in your browser so that two visits from the same phone are not counted as two different people. We run no advertising pixel of any kind. We do not sell this information and we do not hand it to anybody.
If you would rather not be counted, a tracking blocker in your browser will stop both of them. The website works exactly the same either way.
When you telephone or send a WhatsApp message
What you tell us about a patient stays with the staff who need it in order to treat him. We do not sell, rent or pass on your number. We do not add callers to marketing lists.
WhatsApp messages sit on your phone and on ours, and WhatsApp itself carries them under its own privacy terms. If a matter is very sensitive, telephone instead.
Patient privacy
No patient name and no patient photograph leaves this centre without written permission from the patient or the family. The men who appear in the video testimonials on this website gave that permission and chose to speak publicly. Most families do not, and we never ask twice.
Treatment records are kept at the centre and are not published anywhere.
Server records
Our hosting provider keeps ordinary web server logs, which include the visiting internet address and the page requested. These are technical records kept by the host for security and are not used by us to identify anybody.
Children
This website is written for adults, normally the parents or spouse of a patient. Admission of a person under eighteen is handled only through the parents or legal guardian.
